This is my husband Bob's new Oldenburg DiCaprio the day he arrived. Bob is 6ft tall for perspective. A wonderful client gave him to us. He was a second level dressage horse. We pulled his front shoes, gave him a nice barefoot trim and hit the trails! We love Rio - he has a wonderful disposition and a great personality. Bob is riding him in a Dr. Cook's western bitless bridle. Rio, shown below, is 4th from the left in the back row...
Rio on his first group trail ride (second trail ride
ever) with a bunch of friends. we crossed bridges, went on a
quiet road, passed bicycles. He was very good! He was wearing
Generation 2 Old Macs for hoof boots. He only had to wear them
twice, his third ride he went barefoot and was not 'ouchy' at
all, even on railroad tracks.
